The money your store loses in cents. Found every night.
Holdmargin checks every price in your store, every night, against the margin you want, your Metcash files and your sales. In the morning it hands you the few lines worth fixing. You tap approve; your POS and your labels follow.
Built in Adelaide. Running on stores' past data now; live for the first three stores in November 2026.
Three things that happen in every store
Not carelessness. A few cents, on a few hundred lines, for a few weeks. It adds up to thousands a year, and the GP report can't show it because it's an average.
What Holdmargin does, every night
Reads your sales, your prices and your Metcash files. Checks every line against your margin.
A short list on the phone of whoever does your prices. Only the lines worth fixing. Try it:
Example lines. Each amount is what that gap was costing per week at last month's sales, not a promise. What was really put back is counted after the change, on Monday.
The price goes into the POS you already have. Digital labels change by themselves. Paper tickets print, sorted by aisle, for the run you already do.
Nothing changes unless a person taps.
One number.
If you own the store
- You set the margin for each department. It holds it.
- One number every Monday.
- Specials end on time. Ones the supplier never paid for get flagged, so you can claim them.
- Nothing moves without a yes from someone you trust.
If you run the floor
- Nobody reads the cost-change report any more. It does, and gives you the ten lines that matter.
- No more fixing prices at the register while the queue watches.
- Digital labels update themselves. Paper tickets come out sorted by aisle.
- Ten minutes on your phone in the morning. That's the job.
What that is in your store
Holdmargin only makes sense above 0.3% of sales. Below that, a store is tight, the look-back says so, and there's nothing to sell you. Slide to your weekly sales.
Arithmetic, not a promise. The look-back tells you your real number.
Try it first, free
Before you decide anything, see the number for your own store.
Whoever does your price file exports 8–12 weeks of sales and your Metcash files. I come to the store and sit with them.
I run Holdmargin over those weeks as if it had been switched on.
What it would have caught, in dollars, and the rule that would have stopped each one. If the number is small, I say so.
Three look-backs are open for Adelaide independents in September 2026. Not a new POS. Doesn't touch your Metcash account. Nothing to buy or install. Your numbers stay yours: kept in Australia, nobody else sees them — not Metcash, not suppliers, not other stores — deleted when you say, on one page you sign and keep.

Questions owners ask
Is this another POS?
No. It reads what your POS exports and loads what you approve back in. Your POS, your Metcash account and your labels stay exactly as they are.
Will it put prices up on its own?
Never. Every change is approved by a person you authorise, and Monday's report shows what each change did to sales afterwards.
My POS already has margin reports.
It does, if someone sets the rules and checks them every day. Holdmargin is the checking, done every night, with the dollars attached. The look-back shows you what the reports have been missing.
Is it more work for my team?
You already change a quarter of your tickets every week for the catalogue. Holdmargin puts the money into that run. Ten minutes on a phone in the morning; digital labels, no walk at all.
My labels are paper.
Then the list comes out sorted by aisle for your ticket day, the tickets that recover the most first. Most weeks that's under forty tickets, not six hundred.
Who else can see my numbers?
No one. Not Metcash, not suppliers, not other stores. It's on the one-page data agreement, signed before your first export.
